I'm Estelle Morgan - but you can call me Stella,
I'm the artisan behind Here Now Glassworks. Since diving into the medium, glass has become not only my passion but a powerful catalyst, sparking both creative and healing journeys.
I taught myself stained glass five years ago and haven't been able to put it down. Driven by a desire to push the boundaries of traditional glasswork, I venture into the realms of stained glass, neon, and borosilicate flamework with a goal to alchemize my creative visions and explore how these mediums inform one another.
When I’m not immersed in glasswork, I’m pursuing my background in psychology, specializing in childhood development and arts therapy. This intersection of art and well-being informs my practice and allows me to approach my work with a deeper understanding of its impact. Fostering connections through education, art, and wellness is what propels me forward in life and fulfills my heart.
Glasswork is my sanctuary. When I first started, naming my studio "Here Now" was my own little inside joke. Living with chronic illness can make it seem impossible to be present and embody the grace of the moment. Until glasswork came into my life, I struggled to find anything that could center me. It was serendipitous; for the first time in a long while, I felt calm and connected to the present. I never expected an experiment in a new medium to turn into both a passion and a healing journey, yet here we are- now. I couldn't be more grateful to have you on this adventure with me.
